Dipladenias could be the best flowering pot plant that you ever own. Their hardy nature and stunning flowers have made it a favourite in Australian gardens. They can be used as a climber or small shrub.
Position in full sun however in the hot summer months, it can be beneficial to position your dipladenia in partial afternoon shade.
If you leave your dipladenia, it will grow to a certain height before the runners will spill over the sides of your pot. Train your dipledenia by adding a stake to the base of the trunk. This will give it a more solid trunk, encouraging it to have a bushy, shrublike habit. Alternatively, if you want your dipladenia to climb, install a pot frame and wind its runners up the frame as it grows
